Hydroseeding is a complex procedure that has many steps to it to ensure thick grass growing in your yard. Our hydroseeding process combines high-quality seed blends, nutrient-rich mulch, and a potent bonding agent, ensuring optimal seed germination and growth. This eco-friendly technique not only promotes healthier vegetation but also minimizes soil erosion, making it an environmentally responsible choice.
It all starts with ground prep that has the top 1-2" loosened for the seed to take hold. Hard compact soil will make it a real challenge for the seed to take hold to began the process of growth.
Next, an application of a mild fertilizer is applied. Then, the hydroseed is sprayed at an even spray like putting a fire out. Once the hydroseed is down we need to let it dry for about 24 hrs before the initial watering.
After drying, the watering process can begin. The watering procedure is small amounts of water about 4-5 times a day. If water is not available, then a different blend of seed will need to be put down. We can also customize the watering schedule to whatever best fits your needs.
Fertilizing is the last step of the process and our program will include 3 more applications approximately; 30-45 days apart for a total of 4 applications.
No, different blends are required depending on whether it will be watered, the soil makeup and amount of sun i.e. shade, partial sun or full sun. There are also different types of Hydro mulch depending on whether it is being applied to flat or hilly surfaces.
